View Full Version : Advice on Coconut oil Please

:) Hi everyone

I am considering using Coconut oil as a base oil for aromatherapy bath oils but am aware it comes as a solid bar. I just wondered if anyone knew if it comes at all as a liquid, if so, is its INCI any different? As you can imagine I would need it to be in liquid form.

Any advice gratefully received.

Try www.thesoapkitchen.co.uk (http://www.thesoapkitchen.co.uk) I am sure they do it as an oil

Many thanks Soap Fairy, I will go and have a look now.

Have been trawling round the net for ages, at least I know now that it does come in liquid form.

Yes i've had a look and they do, it's fractionated (apparently), not sure if that still makes it a pure oil. Yippee. I can start experimenting. Don't know if you have any experience using it as a massage base oil, but hopefully it will do the job quite nicely.

Thanks again.

I have some coconut oil which I just bought from boots which is quite hard in the jar like a bar of soap. But as soon as you scoop some out it turns to oil on your hand and rubs in a dream.

Fractionated Coconut Oil is VERY light - tis clear and non staining... Nice as a massage oil...

Different INCI name to solid coconut oil - Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride...
