Then again, what I lack in coffee intake, I make up for in chocolate.

Now, there's nothing wrong with that!

It may sound cheesy but I get my inspiration from nature. Whenever I start a piece of jewellery I look at where colours occur naturally in wildlife, landscapes etc. The way I see it is, if the big guy upstairs thought they looked good together, how can I go wrong.

It also helps me name my pieces too. I've recently made a bracelet with dark navy, greys and amber, and called it "Sundown". I also look at popular trends in fashion and culture in general - I don't want to make jewellery that no-one wants to buy or wear! And sometimes I get inspiration when looking at beads - I just get an image in my head of what I could use them for.

Hope this explains the weird and wonderful mind behind me!

Sounds liek a good reason to me, not cheesy at all.
I seem to be stealing ideas form films at the mo.I saw a pick of a film and the necklace the actress was wearing was amazing so I may have to make it for myself! Im such a cheat.

It's only cheating if you are copying like for like but it's perfectly fine to use someone else's work for inspiration. I often find that looking at others work will set my muse going, never to copy but to lift elements from various designs and bring them together in my own way.

I'm finally getting round to sorting out the wedding stationary for my website (eventually!) and my recently married friend - I did the stationary for her - has given me all of her old wedding magazines. I've flicked through them all now and cut out any pictures I like and stuck them in a book - I've got 14 A4 pages of images now and have already come up with 2 more lines of stationary for the website. Just got to get off my bum and do it now I'm also and avid reader of what my husband calls 'tat' celebrity magazines so they are always good at picking up on trends too.

I seem to be having a blank just now too, my jewellery at the moment is abit dull. I have been making some nice kitsch stuff but it doesn't sell very well as it's very individual taste...
