I bought a focal bead from a bead shop a few weeks ago, it was labeled as agate but I have never seen it before. I have played about with it this morning and turned it into a simple pendant, but I still dont know what it is. I have just blogged it so if you have any ideas please tell me. Its a georgeous bead anyway but I like to know exactly what everything is and they didn't know at the shop I bought it from. Thank you!

It looks like crab agate which is also sometimes called fire agate.
I call it crab agate as it looks just like the colour and patters on a crab. They are usually quite expensive and not too common.

Such an incredible colour - it almost looks like glass. Really beautiful.
