Hiya,

I was wondering if anyone knew of a website that had decent but cheap thread for sewing machines, and also thicker thread for more decorative hand stiching? Don't know the correct terms for the types. And the more colourful the better.

Also anywhere you can buy cheap off cuts of random material. Like in my local haberdashery type store they have a bin of random scraps of material, but it's usually all a bit rubbish. Is there such a place on the internet? I keep cutting up all my clothes. I'm running out.....

Ta.

Hi

the cheapest thread I've used is when I've bought it from trade suppliers, which is ok if you use an awful lot as p&p is only free when you've spent about 75 - no problem when I was making curtains etc. as I also ordered linings, buckram etc.

will do a web search for you & see what I can find

Cheers

Sharon :)
