sound insulation lining for linen curtains

    Hello,

I'd like to make a curtain for my hall. It is going to go on the top of the stairs so it needs to be double-sided. I also want it to insulate sound and heat. Does anyone know what lining I need to achieve this? I have already bought the fabric - it's a stiff cream linen. I think my limitation is the lining can't be so bulky because the linen is quite soft and not very thick.

    Suggestions welcome!

Heat needs a small gap sound needs a much larger gap, I would very much doubt you could soundproof curtains.....

I have just been looking at the Clo-i website, apparently they do a new interlining that is light weight, and has really good insulating properties.
