Just seen a post on FB about your memories of yester year and living very frugally.
When we got married many years ago, we were as poor as church mice. we really wanted a tree for Christmas and so we saved up and went to Argos and bought a green reusuable tree. it cost us £12 which was an awful lot out of our budget. Chris told me that it would have to last us 12 years as then it would be a pound a year. We had it exactly 12 Christmases and then moved onto a new tree. *That cost us £8 and lasted 8 years! we are now on another £8 tree.... Anyway, having spend so much on the tree, we couldn't justify spending on baubles and so we gathered pine cones and covered tooth paste boxes and oxo boxes in wrapping paper and put them onto the tree and it looked lovely.
I just finished an oxo box last night and was about to throw it away when I thought wouldn't it be a fitting tribute to Lynda Bellingham to decorate the box and put it on my tree in memory of all those people who didn't get to see this christmas
So my challenge to you all is this:
Decorate an oxo box. it's as simple as that ... use anything you want to embellish it or redesign it etc.
