I like the idea of the magnets - especially if they are personalised. But I honestly think the price would put people off. You mentioned that you are going to make gift boxes - my personal feeling is that this is a tiny bit wasted. The box is only going to get thrown out - because the main feature of the card is getting removed (ie the magnet) for use after the card has been displayed. So it's not as if the box is needed to store the card if someone wanted to keep it afterwards.
It would be different if there was a lot of height (depth?) to the card - from decoupage or large embellishments. Then a box would be needed. But it looks like your cards could happily fit in a decent-sized envelope. And I'm sure people would be more likely to pay a more reasonable price. I imagine that the £8.99 price is to take account of the time and materials involved in making the gift box?
But that's just my opinion. Other people may well feel totally differently.

The size means it will have to go as a large letter and some people don't like this. I love to use foam pads which means my cards aren't always less than 5mm thick so I make some thin ones too. The fabric bow and flowers would be difficult to keep clean if they are kept on a fridge near a cooker.
I agree with New2Craftz about using a good quality envelope instead of a box. How long do the card and magnets take you to make? Surely £5.00 would cover your time and costs with enough profit? If you were doing them as a business you would sit and do all the die cuts etc as a production line as its much quicker that way and hence you could make more cards per hour.

Have you marketed them yet? How have they gone?
