Site of the month
Just an idea.
What about site of the month?
The top site members in the month get a slot at the top of the page on the forum to advertise their site.
Not sure how to decide the top member though :P
Maybe a public vote based on helpfullness, productivity and support given to the forum?
Any other ideas to suggest on this by anyone else?

I don't think Mr M would go for that considering the forum is funded by the paid advertising on the site.

I don't think it's a good idea. From the rules about advertising:
5. If you wish to advertise your site or products, you have 4 choices:
•email or pm 0103media for the advertising rates
•Add your site to the directory linked to this site www.ukcraftwebsites.co.uk This includes adverts on the forums right hand side
•Add your site to your signature and then give great advice and help to people on the forum. Your reputation will advertise your site.
•Go elsewhere if you wish to spam.Stephen

Mr Media started a thread himself at the beginning of the month asking for suggestions for the forum. Maybe you need to put this on there for consideration by the man himself.

well, for one i can not decide on the best website though i have seen plenty of charts recently.. i always liked car manufacturer web sites and music band ones.. karla

I can understand about the paid advertising and not wanting sites to advertise but it would be nice to compare home page design ect and bandy about ideas for creating good websites, its a craft of its own and one I find sometimes really hard to get right

As it stands this is already a very comprehensive site with blogs, Craft Juice and numerous invormation forums.
