    Default upcycle purse clasps

    has anyone ever tried to reuse an old purse clasp? i want to try this, but i dont want to rip a bag apart unless its possible (even if it is an ugly bag)... any tips would be great! or just comments on your own attempts.

    Never done it, but if it doesn't work try bags of handles.

    I do this all the time. I actually go to car boots to buy hangbags, then rip it apart for the linings, handles, clasps, bag feet for my paper handbags. Much cheaper! Just trial and error with clasps, but magnetic ones definately can be used, all my bags have recycled clasps.
