glass etching fluid
Hi, Have seen this on e bay and read some reviews most seem to think its safe with a few precautions other reviews say very dangerous to use.......any advice.....looking to use it to personalise some wedding favours

assume you are talking about hydrofluric acid? It is highly dangerous and not something you can do without having instruction, its used for etching 'flashed' glass. When I used it I had to wear protective clothing and a respirator! You can get etching paste which is less corrosive for the skin and a lot easier to use and ideal for what you are thinking about. You still need rubber gloves and keep it away from pets and children!

Hi have you tried some glass supply sites, I have some dip n etch on it's way from Tuffnell's and I know it specifies that it is safe ( I don't think it contains hyrofluric acid) they do the etching cream too. I think these are suitable for soft glass, not sure what you are planning to etch?
