Default Any suggestions on how to make condensation from icing?

So this might seem a bit cryptic, but I am making a guinness and chocolate cake for St Patricks Day, and I am going to decorate it like a pint glass. I thought it would be great to make some transulcent drops to make it look like condensation to exaggerate the effect. Any idea how? I guess it will be water and icing sugar, but it needs to set fairly hard to avoid a big mess! Any suggestions would be appreciated! x

Glad to see someone other than me makes Guinness & chocolate cake - do you use the recipe from the Green & Blacks book?

Back to condensation ... piping gel should work, you can get it from cake
    decorating shops.

I use Nigella's recipe, but I am a complete cake whore and am always trying the same cake but a recipe from a different book or chef!

Piping gel, got it. Will see if I can get some tomorrow. Thank you!

Would ordinary sugar work better than icing sugar, It would be clear rather than opaque. A bit like the sugar bottles they use in films.

Melanie, I have actually ducked out of this as I have been so busy this evening. Instead I iced the harp logo on top, it came out okay! But thank you for the links, will hang on to them for next time!
