Vybar can cause the ripple effect to as stearin and vybar have similar properties.
I would only use 0.5% in the rubber mould I tend to find anything more than that and the scent gets bound and you don't get such a strong scented candle. The stearin is really to make the candle burn longer (as is vybar) and to give it it's opaque colour. However rubber moulds tend to be novelty shapes and you are never going to get an even burn with one of them so the stearin isn't really important. Stearin comes into it's own really when you are making pillars etc as it give a niceeven, slow burning candle and turns the wax sort of milky (opaque) giving the candle a nicer finish (well I think anyway).

I would love to but they have both chucked it and went on to pastures new!!! Model railways and gardening as far as I know!!

Oh well nevermind, good luck to them.
Still cant work out how an eco wick of 6 and eco wick of 10 are both tiny wee flames near enough out but yet eco 8 is perfect, hope this buddha is ok, i will sit it in a baking tray to iron out the creases.
