You will probably find that it water slide decal paper that was used if it is only favours. I tried engraving onto candles which worked great but I couldn't get an ink that would fill in the engraving so I just used the decals.

Just thought id let you lovely folk know that the favours turned out great. However i tried a larger design on a pillar candle for mothers day and when the decal has dried it has a lot of wrinkles in it Any suggestions? I have seen a video clip that says to use decal mount which is in a wee bottle on the video but i could only see it in the US when i did a search and the postage was $30

I don't know what the decal mount is so I couldn't tell you about that.

Decals do take quite a bit of practice to get it right. If you use too much varnish or apply it unevenly you will get wrinkles/uneven marks on the candle. If you don't use enough varnish the ink just washes away (and ow how many times I have done that!!!).

I bought the squeegy thing from craft computer paper but to be honest I have found the best thing to be a dry lint free cloth (I use a microfibre one) and gently wipe over the candle to get rid of excess water - again dry it too much and you will end up makking wrinkles. It is a bit of trial and error I'm afraid.
