Anyone need a website? proceeds for Charity

    Hi,

I've just replyed to a post offering my husband's services as website designer but thought it made sense to start a thread to let everyone know.

My husband, Mark, built my current website from scratch.
We started off with MrSite pro and both found it very frustrating and limiting for what I wanted to do so this spurred Mark in to researching website design so he could do it himself. I worked out what I wanted and Mark put it all together.

Now he's got the website design bug he want's tp make some more!

Instead of a fee Mark would just like a donation to his London Marathon charity. He's running the marathon next year for Parkinsons and he has to raise a certain amount which is a hefty target in a short space of time. This could be a great way to help meet the target and support a great charity.

If you like the style and functionality of my website (bear in mind that the theme etc would be made to individual specifications) please pm me for more details.

Oh this is a brilliant idea! I fought with making websites for years and finally gave up!!!
It's a vivid, glossy website kudos to hubby!
I'll have to have a think about what I'd need for a website again!
Does he have any tips on photo gallerys for products or how to add shopping carts?
I love that you are doing this for charity and will swing by when I get a chance and make a donation anyway!
Thanks so much and good luck!

                Hi Emma

I would love your hubby to design my website.

I too have had a go myself with various website templates I've downloaded from the worldwide web but have given it up as a bad job - patience is not my strong point by any means!!!!

As I only started my nappy cakes as a bit of a hobby a couple of months ago I'm afraid I don't have vast sums to spend but would be more than happy to donate something to your hubby's very good cause. Obviously I'm assuming your hubby has now run the London Marathon but if he's still looking to design a website I can either send him money direct or straight to Parkinsons.

I'll wait to hear from you.

I want to just say your website is AHMAZING and very similar to something I want for mine. If your hubby still has time I would love for him to make me a website if he isn't too busy.
Oh and your model is beautiful

                        Hi everyone,

I've been so busy recently I haven't caught up with this thread so sorry for slow replies... :s

The hub is keen to design more websites but alas his real job is demanding all his time at the moment so even I struggle to get any help from him! It means he can't take on any more websites but I will do my best to get from him a list of tips and advice which hopefully will be useful to everyone doing their own websites.

Sorry we can't help anymore, thanks for all the encouraging comments on my website
                        Emma x

p/s Mark raised his target of over £1700 for Parkinson's disease so thanks to anyone here who donated!
