Where can I get scraps of glass from?
I use recycled glass to melt in the bases of my bowls and dishes, but have been limited to green, blue, brown and clear from glass bottles which I smash up. I did have a small stash of vibrant coloured scraps from a glass worker friend from uni but I have lost contact with them and all the nice glass has been used up now!
Are there any glass workers out there who have any scraps, off-cuts or odds and ends lying around, or bits that would perhaps get thrown away?
Sorry for the cheekyness!
I would be willing to send a stamped addressed jiffy bag for any scraps, or even send someone a few of my handmade magnets/brooches or something in return.
Any takers??

I know you dont particularly want clear, but if you want some thats good quality, go and ask a local picture framer, we used to throw away a barrel full of scraps every day!

Thanks all, its more the vibrant colours I'm after as clear is easy for me to get hold of (when I've been drinking lots of Bacardi Breezers!

All depending on what type/shape etc you are after although not free, bullseye glass is really cheap and a fab range of colours.
I am sure it would be very rewarding to smash it up yourself

Hi,
I have loads of offcuts, mainly opaque colours but some transparent too. I'll happily send you some if you cover postage?
