    Thinking about Blogging

I know quite a few of you on here Blog & I'm wondering whether to give it a go or not. I know that it's supposed to be a good way to get people to your website, but my concern is how do you get people interested in your blog as surely my followers would be friends and possibly peeps from here, who already know about my website? I'm also not sure I'd have enough to say, do people mix up their blogs, ie add personal things as well as craft items.

I've had a look at some blogs to get some ideas & they're all so good, I'm not sure if mine would be interesting enough??

Any tips or advice - thanks guys

Good question! I was wondering the same thing about generating new traffic.

Im sure you would find something to say, in a way it might motivate you to do more crafting so you have got more to blog about!

You make cards dont you? I have just discovered the world of challenge blogs - where every week/fortnight they post a sketch/recipe etc for a card and you make your version and post a link so others can see it. They are really good for inspiration, and it seems that the more links you have to other blogs and sites, the more traffic you get. I know a lot of these will be other crafty people who may or may not buy from you, but if every so often you get a customer then it has got to be worth it!

      And blogging is fun!

Oh, and talking of blog traffic, it is so bizarre how people get to your blog! According to google analytics, someone ended up on my blog searching for die cut images of cupcakes, even though I dont even say the words die cut anywhere I dont think! And someone else, even more bizarrely, had searched for fish cupcake and landed on my blog! Very odd!

Anyway, it is free and very easy to set up a blog, so what have you got to lose?!

Go for it, I was really good up until Christmas, joining the Pink Ladies from across the pond on a Monday Show and Tell. The advantage of this weekly event was that it made me make something and take some pic's, if not there is always the tale of a dog or places we have visited. This week was the snow, now back to the serious work, any advertising that is free is worth the effort.
