Hello, I'm a newbie!

Hi everyone

This is my first post on this website although I've been reading through for a few days now. Everyone seems to be so friendly and helpful so I've decided to get involved!!

I'm (like many of you) setting up my own small business selling paintings and home-painted gifts. I've been to a few craft fairs and have also set up my own website.

I'm thinking of joining etsy as it seems well recommended but also I am intending to expand and improve my website and set up a facebook group to promote this among friends. I didn't have that much luck at craft fairs - I did sell a bit but not that much - did anyone else have the same experience?

I can't post my website as I'm new but hopefully will do it soon and then let you know.

You can put your own website details as part of your signature on the forum for the time being Helen, go into User CP at the left of the blue menu bar near the top of the page, go into our edit signature area and type it in there so it appears automatically at the end of your post
