...I can't believe Lark Rise to Candleford wasn't on tonight! I look forward to that all week! Apparently it's not on for 2 weeks, how am I going to survive?!

Is that the series that started out being broadcast as just Candleford? I loved it when it was first on and thought it had finished so I was really miffed when I eventually accidentally landed on the Lark Rise thingy and it was the same characters, but I'd lost all track of it by then...ggrrrr

Larkrise to Candleford has always been called that. Think you may be thinking of Cranford which was on Sunday evenings before Christmas.

Oooh d'ya know Cynthia you're so right! :)

But arent some of the same characters in both series? I landed on Lark Rise by chance one night and am sure I saw two of the same girls from Cranford? Was it just a coincidence or am I going barmy?

No you're right, 2 of the actresses are the same but they are playing different characters.

I agree completely! I have Sky+ and never watch any TV live (joy of working all the time!) which means when they mess up the timings for shows it just doesn't record them. Luckily I realised last week just by chance I watch the 'what will happen next time' section at the end which I normally ignore and they just slipped it in then. I would have been well annoyed if I missed the last episode!! It's all set up now!!

The only advantage is that we still have the last episode to look forward to, if it had been on last night it would all be over. Has been a great series hasn't it, but I agree that it can get confusing with the same people appeared as different characters in one series so soon after the other. Fun though.

You can catch up on Iplayer on bbc website, it does hold it for a week or so.

I was miffed about it when they announced it last week. I thought I was going to do well and get to see the whole thing before going off on holiday next Sunday. In a way I'm also pleased now as our TV reception has been a bit pants recently after all that wind - we were down to BBC1, BBC2 and C4, and last night it was pretty much unwatchable on every channel. We'll hopefully get it sorted this week now the winds aren't so strong and hubby has his term finish tomorrow. Strange how the sound quality is still perfect though.

I'm sooooo pleased that you cleared that up for me. I've watched the whole series and sat down on Sunday to watch the last one and it wasn't on - arghhhhhhhh!

At least I'm not going barmy and I can see Dorkas and Timothy in a 'clinch'.
