Can anyone give me advice on to set up my first Craft stall? The tables are 6' x 2' and have to be covered to the floor in black. I have bought a black double flat sheet which I am sure will be big enough. I make cards and would like advice on how to display them to the best advantage. What do I put them in? Do I put flowers etc on the table to make it look pretty? I had an idea to buy some plastic plate stands and display some on those so that the table doesn't look too 'flat'. Any advice would be greatfully received as I don't want to make a fool of myself!!!! Believe me, that isn't hard!!! Lokking forward to all hearing from all the wise Crafters' who can offer help! Love Sue.xx:confused:

I'm pretty new to fairs myself, only done 2, but I know there was a great thread giving lots of stall display tips not long ago. If I can find it I'll repost it here for you to have a read Sue :)

You're right about having extra height on parts of your table! You could put a couple of shoeboxes on either side of the table, near the back, and put the table cloth over them. Your idea of cake stands is great! (that would look fantastic if your cards were cake-related, for example, with cupcakes on the front!)

I cover a couple of boxes in my black fabric too. It gives height to your table and allows you to display stuff in front as well. If the Jimmy Choos are a no go even cornflake boxes will do, no one will see them after all! Selina

Yes it will be cornflake boxes!!! The Jimmy Choos have always been a dream from my selling cards proceeds!!! The proceeds will probably take me to the local Charity shop!! No Jimmy Choos there!!! All good fun though!! Sue x:mf:

Go for hieght every time, don't decorate with to much stuff that is not for sale as you always get one that asks if that is for sale !

Thanks for that! I could be very liable to get carried away and would end up selling everything but the cards. Cheers. Sue x:mf:
