Thats a fab place to sit, chat and knit with a group!!

Americans' are so lucky with the facilities that are offered to them.

When I used to go to the hobby shops I could get lost in them and used to spend hours just looking at what was on offer - was great!!!!

There is a wool shop near me, not anywhere near as nice as that and on a Friday morning they have a 'stitch and bitch'! I think this is fab and can just imagine lots of people sitting around putting the world to rights! Selina

What are you lot like ?!! Haven't any of you been to this shop (http://www.allthefunofthefair.biz/)

OK - so it's not quite on the scale of the California shop but it's absolutely great in there - we took my little boy and one of his girlfriends there on a recent trip to London and they couldn't believe all the lovely knitted cakes and stuff !!

And they used to stock my hairclips and corsages but I haven't heard from them for a while so I'd better give them a call !!

Lovely shop, went to a few nice ones last time I was in Idaho but will be visiting northern california in a few weeks so I need to do some reserch and hit at least one wool shop. that shouldn't annoy my husband too much. I jsut wish I was a better knitter.

I really do miss my local fabric shop I had in Va. I use to go in fix a cuppa and sit and just chat. There was always friends coming and going. Was like a second home. When I left Va to come to the UK they gave me a big party that lasted all weekend lol.The shop had Fare Well Neesey signs and they had my favorte fabrics on sale.

Gosh...isn't that a gorgeous place.

We're still very behind in the craft world, but you have to bear in mind that in the Uk we only have an audience of approx 60 million compared to USA of probably 600 million

Aw, how sweet was that?!

Love them cakes displayed in the London shop window, and they invite crafters to sell in their shop, maybe that's an outlet Jules! :)

...I couldnt find the link to take the virtual tour of the shop though?
