Hi all,
I've only been on the forum for a couple of days and I must say that I'm finding lots of great and exciting ideas. I'm based in Stoke on Trent and between my hubby and myself we handcraft candles and greetings cards, keepsake cards and are branching out into wedding stationery.
We're on the lookout for reasonably local craft fairs and new and exciting ways to sell our items. We already have our own website and Ebay shop but at the moment things are fairly quiet. Not really sure how to get noticed when there is so much great competition around. Any help or advice is appreciated.
At the moment I'm looking for something personalised... not sure if anyone can help or point me in the right direction. Basically I'd like a photo frame which is personalised with names and date of marriage in specific colours to tie in with our wedding theme... we've been married for over three years and as yet still don't have a decent framed photo of our big day... shocking I know!! Sadly, I can't afford anything too expensive at the moment due to other commitments (family and holidays!!) but am looking to see what options I have available. Can anyone help?
Hope to speak to you all soon.

Hi and (welcome) to the forum
Off the top of my head, when you mention personalised frames, we have a forum member called WoodTattoos who makes lovely personalised frames - check him out (no doubt he'll be along to say welcome anyway!)
And you're welcome to check my Blog to see what I do, I multi-layer your photos up & make them 3D and put them into recessed frames along with any mementos you may have from the day - orders of service, garter etc
Enjoy the forum

Thanks everyone. I'll definitely have a look at Woodtattoo :) and I've had a look at your blog Shaz which I think looks brilliant... would you be able to pm me with an idea of prices, etc?
Marra, where abouts in Stoke are you? What is it that you do?

Cool, we're in Blurton... near the Dougie Mac.
I've been making cards for a while now but hubby and I have only recently branched out into doing candles. I;ve never used fimo either but from what I've seen you can get some really good results with it.
Do you attend craft fairs with your items?

If you wouldn't mind asking that'd be great. There doesn't seem to be all that much in this area so all opportunities are welcomed with open arms *so to speak*
I'm in the process of looking into card and candle parties - similar to the Ann Summers set up so hopefully that will be another outlet, we'll just have to see what happens though I guess.
And don't put yourself down, I'm sure your cards are great ;)
Thanks for everyone's comments and thank you for the positive feedback on my website Clare - it's much appreciated!! :D
