No, I'm not suggesting anyone gives up washing!
I occasionally make door plaques, for various rooms, and for bathrooms, I've always done ones with a bath on them, but was just thinking that showers are so popular now, and many bathrooms, don't actualy have a bath anymore just a shower, so should I make some with a shower on them or wouldn't it matter?
Any opinions out there?

Well my favourite double-whammy opinion would be one of those cute little baths with a big shower head over the top - two for the price of one! :mf:

well the bath /shower combo seems to be winning hands down!
i can always blame you lovely lot if i get " ooh that's lovely but we've only got a shower" ;)type response! except it would most likely be " ¡ que chulo!, pero solo tenemos una ducha" round these parts!
Yes I could do 3 types, como, bath only, shower only, and even a throne on its own for anyone that has a seperate little room, but would rather just do one type, as I dont really sell as such, and have got enough clutter as it is, without stockpiling useless creations!

I would go for the bath / shower combo coz it won't really matter if people just have a bath or just a shower, they will know that it represents a bathroom, it doesn't have to be exactly like their own bathroom. HTH.

When I first started out and was doing the door signs I used to do bathroom ones with a persosn sitting in an old fashioned bath and also shower room ones with a person peeking from behind a shower curtain, and the shower ones were more popular for some reason.

Well, just as I was settled on the combo idea, along comes a totally diffferent viewpoint, to put a spanner in the works! and, not just based on personal choice, but practical experience! darn..........
Why do you think the shower only were more popular ?Sommerwood.
peoples own choice to match what they had or did they just like the design better?
How did you do yours? painted on wood?
guess I'll have a rethink and maybe do a just shower one too, as am working on a couple of combos anyway!
We have a shower, no bath, but I'm not sure I'd mind if it had a bath or not. It's the idea of the bathroom behind the design, whether there's a bath or not IYSWIM

I suppose its because more and more people have en-suites now and where as it is normally obvious where the bathroom is in the house its maybe not so obvious where the shower room is???? Just a hazardous guess mind!!
