Anyone used these before...
https://www.threadart.com/shop/
I've just ordered expecting a big shipping fee at the end, (As it's from america) but nothing has been added?? Seems a bit wierd? They have sent a confirmation email and payment went through Paypal.
It can't possibly go through, as it just seems so cheap???

Hi - just wondered if you have ordered from abroad before and if you have incurred import duties?
Does anyone know what the maximum value you can buy is before you are charged?
I have ordered things from the US and India before - sometimes I get charged and sometimes I don't.
A large order of pot pourri materials that I bought from India were only delivered as far as the airport - I had to go and collect them and pay for duties and processing fees which just about doubled the cost  I won't make that mistake again!

I buy most of my threads from Marathon threads, they sell large cones of thread for a very reasonable price and its excellent. I am gradually changing over from threads that I have had for a number of years which came from India to Marathon.

....three clicks and I've mentally spent $600+......
Import duty usually starts at $36, or £18. On top of the import tax, there's usually an admin fee from either C&E or Royal Mail. The import tax is somewhat of a lottery, but I don't imagine big parcels would go unoticed too often....
Oh my God...that ribbon...I sooooo love it! Good job I can't afford it!
