Hi All
I've looked at the site a few times and have finally decided to join. I am new today and am looking for lots of advice on selling my paintings and also my handmade ceramic/glass bead jewellery. My partner doesn't think it's worth setting up a website until i am more established but I'm not sure - what do you think?
Also, does anyone know of any craft fairs in the Hampshire/Berkshire area where I can sell?
Thanks
D ;)

Hi and (welcome) to the forum
I dont have a website yet either but I must confess thats not cos I dont think theyre valuable at the beginning of your venture, I've just been so reluctant to give the control to someone else cos I'd really want to update mine constantly so I'm trying to get the time (and the knowledge!) to have a bash myself....erm...eventually
Someone more experience in that field will be along soon but, in the absence of a website, why not try a Blog? That's what I've done so at least I have some kind of presence on this www jobby! And its really easy to do.
Good luck

That's a fab idea - thanks so much!
I think the idea was that I will not be making enough money to cover the cost of a website as my pieces are small. So a blog is perfect!!
Thanks so much for the idea!

Hello All
Thanks so much for your welcoming comments and suggestions on starting up a blog.
I have managed to get one up and running so am really pleased.
It's all very exciting! Look forward to many more discussions in the forum!
D :)
P.S. I am unable to post my blog page until I have posted 25 messages apparently so really sorry that I cannot show you all. Would love to share it.
Ezzyam - great to hear from a fellow Hampshire lass! To answer your question, I make glass/ceramic bead jewellery and I also paint (acrylic on canvas).

25 posts will soon pass!
make sure you put your blog address n your profile, and we can access it from there.
not sure about this, cos don't have a blog or ebsite, but can you put it in your signature anyway before 25 posts?

I think you can yes, cos its part of your signature as opposed to something else you're promoting within your thread....I think....I could be talking kaka....worth a try though! :)

Welcome to the forum!
With regards to your questions about craft fairs, I live in the Wiltshire/Berkshire border area. I have looked at organising small craft fairs in the past but have not set anything in stone yet due to the time needed.
What I can do is let you know when I hear of anything local. If you want, send me a PM with your email address and I will add you to my contact list of local crafters. I plan to send out emails informing people of craft fairs in this way to assist spreading details etc. I will then be able to pass on contact details of organisers etc. The way I see it, the more craft stalls at a fair I'm at, the better!
Anyways, enjoy your time here on the Forum...
