I'm after some pretty fabric with any connection to ballet on it.

I've been on ebay and everybody sells fat quarters which is not enough for what I need.

One seller is selling by the meter, but wants £7.99 plus P&P and that's more than I would normally spend on a metre, plus they only have 1 metre of it, and I generally buy about 3 metres of any style of fabric.

I'm also looking for fabric with tractors on, and the same is true again.

Has anybody seen either on any of their suppliers' websites, or is anybody placing any fabric orders with America and I'll share the shipping cost?

I would never have thought ballerina fabric would be impossible to find!

I'm looking for similar and having the same trouble. It is so easy to find a fabric with what you want on it, but another matter trying to find a piece big enough to be useful!
If I come across any Ballet or Tractor fabric whilst trawling through the net I'll let you know.

I'm actually after fabric with YoYo's or Skipping Ropes on. I might settle for FQ's if I can find them but it's usually such an expensive way of buying fabric.

I can get ballerina oilcloth but I don't think that's what you are after. I'll check for you when I'm in the fabric shop next. Have you tried reprodepot? They are very good and compared to prices here they aren't that bad - I got stung with import tax etc when I went to get the parcel but it still worked out cheaper than here (some of the fabrics I could get here).

Thanks for that girlie-wirlies.

I decided to try a different tack with the tractors and looked up "grass fabric" on ebay. Ooooh, there's one I really like ... guess what? It's a fat quarter! By now I'm starting to call them something other than "fat" quarters, but it does begin with "F" !!

Hmmm, am intrigued by skipping ropes and yoyos....

If you're looking for something "John and Jane" ish, you could try here, but it is American. (sooo drooly though!)

Why do they have such scrummy fabric in the States ... it's not fair :p

Aaagggh, I'm getting seriously p*d off now!

THIS (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Fleece-Fabric-Farmyard-on-light-blue-100cm-x-150cm_W0QQitemZ330214009396QQihZ014QQcategoryZ4876 3QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem)would be perfect, but it's fleece! I just want nursery type farmyard-ish cotton. Not too much to ask is it?!?!?

Thanks Pauline, I love the ones on the American site ... exactly my point, why can't we have scrummy fabrics over here too?!

Cath Kidston one is lovely, but the print is too big for what I need. Plus I refuse to pay that much money! £18.00 per metre is cheap for CK - they're usually £21 a metre :o

Was looking for fabric with horses on it and had saved it to have a look later.

Cheers Janice

Sorry just realised Pauline gave you this as well ;)

Ooooh, they do a barnyard one too.

Trouble is, it's £4.25 per half metre. From a commercial point of view, it's too expensive!

I'm obviously going to have to get off my bum and go and look in the real outside world :o

...that's so girly and sweet, but not babyish. It's really lovely, should go well with all those budding Darcy Bussells out there!

The ballerina one looks good and I agree that they look grown up, Shelley loves her plaque btw - thanks.

I don't suppose anyone came across cheapish flannel tractor during this, did they? My 2 year old went completely bonkers tonight because his tractor bottoms are too small to wear to bed (they're not even pajamas, but that's not important to him) and I thought I might make him some.
