Zippers

Anyone know of anywhere in London / on the internet where i could get really short (3") closed end zippers, in quite a good selection of colours? I'm really struggling, can only find 4"

Hiya,

I don`t about 3" zips but don`t forget you can always cut a 4" down. From the bottom, whip stitch around the teeth 1" up from the bottom ( so your slider doesn`t fall off) and them cut off the bit you don`t. You coud sew a piece of ribbon over the end to neaten it.

Also you can buy continuous zip which is cut to whatever length you want but I`m not sure a retailer would cut to 3"

Hey, I hadnt thought of covering the ends over with ribbon - seems really obvious now youve said it, a great idea. I guess I was so wound up with not finding short zippers I forgot to try to think of other solutions - not like me at all :confused:

oh well, we all have off days & have have spent the last week running around after 2 sick housemates so I suppose i have an excuse
