Hey people

Wasn't sure whether to put this in Ceramics or General so I went with the busier option, lol.

I'm looking for some waterproof clay that's easy for a newbie to work with, easy to get and not too expensive. Basically, I found a pretty intriguing project on some website - traipse.com/thing_in_a_jar - and wanted to give it a shot myself, but I don't know what material to use to guarantee that it won't just fall apart after a month or two.

Any suggestions? :)

Fimo is waterproof and can be doubly so by varnishing after baking. Also there is a waterproof clay floating version of fimo by eberhard faber which would work as looking at the project you put a lid on.

Hope this helps. We stock both but the floating one isnt on the site yet.
