I made this as a treat this afternoon to congratulate myself on being able to see the floor and desk in my craft room!! Still can't see the sofa or chair but that's not an issue yet!

I used a card insert from the middle of a calendar (used to keep them flat) and just some buttons, a pen and colouring pencils. I was inspired by seeing 3D button flowers in blogland! I'm thinking of putting them on cards and gift tags - what do you think? And apologies for the dodgy photo!

Very cute :) i LOVE buttons. I blame it on my mum dressing me up as a pearly queen at school party when I was in primary school :o

Very nice Swirly

Just a warning ... buttons are addictive!

You find yourself asking "have you got any button tins" in charity shops at which point they usually pull out a big quality street tin full of them from behind the counter and then you spend ages going through them. I bought some today for 2p !! I was feeling generous, so I gave them 5p

I already have 5 button tins!!!! I find them at car boot sales and if you ask in charity shops I always buy the whole tin rather than button by button! Even Ruth has had a rummage through my button tins :D

Hum, I've never tried using button embellishments yet, must hunt out the few odd buttons I've got and see if I can make use of em...thanks

Ooooooo! Buttons,Buttons,Buttons! Got loads, use 'em loads, love 'em loads! What is it about buttons? I have a friend who just has a thing about fastenings in general, buttons, zips, press-studs, laces, etc. She loves art that features any of them except for those funny dungaree fastener things you get on kids dunga's - they really do the opposite for her!

Your design is really pretty Swirly.

they look great. simple but effective!

I'm looking for some unusual metal buttons for my paintings. I never thought of looking in charity shops!
