Ok..
As most of you know I run craftjuice as well as the forums and directory etc..
Well..
Craftjuice has a widget.. Its a button that lets anyone submit stright to the craftjuice site.. If the item is already listed it will add a vote.. Simple as that..
Why do it.. Well i'm in talks with as many craft sites who so far all seem up for adding the buttons thus increase the traffic to the site which is pretty good already..
The button best suits blogs and product pages..
Enjoy :D

BTW it look like this: http://www.craftjuice.com/evb/img/addtocraftjuice.gif
That sounds interesting...
I've added the button to my blog... but what exactly does it add to craftjuice? The last entry?? (I don't want to test it by adding MYSELF to crfatjuice :p!)

Ooohhh I havent gotten as far as getting my head around Craftjuice yet guys...
Anyone happy to give me the quick eeejits rendition of how it works?
I dont have a website yet - but if I start submitting photos of my work and (hopefully) getting votes (or giving em to myself it sounds like!) would that help to drive traffic to my Blog?
I is still learning!
Thanks
Shaz x
This might be a daft question, but how does a widget like this direct traffic to other sites (ie the ones with the widgets on) - doesn't it just make people who look at my blog look at craftjuice???
(Kind of the same question as Shaz's really!!)

....so here's me scratching my head trying to get it around it....
so I post piccies of my things on Craftjuice?....then I hope for genuine votes of course BUT I could also add the CJ widget to my new Blog....then visitors clicking on it would auto vote for MY photos on CJ?....and I can even click on the widgety-dude myself, thereby increasing my CJ votes, thereby increasing my profile all round thereby helping me whilst helping CJ?
....is that kinda right?....and if so, which of the items listed does it give the vote to?....or do you add the CJ widget to each of your items on your Blog so the person clicks on the relevant widget to that item?....
Apols for what are likely numpty Qs! Have just got my head around the AdSense, Amazon & Ebay widgets
Cheers x :):):)

Yep that's correct..
The button allows anyone who clicks on it to either submit the link to craftjuice or if its already listed to vote for that link. You can only submit a link once e.g. a blog post or a item page.
Also if its on craftjuice and people click on the link to your site before voting then the button gives that users a simple way to add a vote.. It take 5 votes to hit the homepage..
Hope that helps..

Oooh it's too early in the morning and my brain hurts trying to work all this out! I think I'll go and have a look at this Craftjuice site and read slowly and carefully so that I can take it all in! I thought a widget was something you found in a can of beer!

Me again. I've had another coffee and I feel it a bit more awake. I've just got my pic on CJ. Not sure I've quite grasped this whole clicky button thing though! Am I supposed to add it to my sites now and if so how do I do it?
