View Full Version : Free advertising website
Somebody at a craft fair recommended this site (http://www.freeindex.co.uk/categories/Shopping/Gifts/Personalised_Gifts/)as somewhere to advertise on the web for free.
I've added myself - as it's free I thought I'd give it a go. I'm about half-way down the page at the moment.
Does anybody fancy giving me a "review" to increase my visibility?
Just click this link and I'll go further up the list

If anybody else registers, we could all review each other!

Moon stag - I'm going to leave your post on, but don't EVER again insinuate that the original poster is anything less than honest to score points with your own vast knowledge of the way the legal system works. We managed to muddle through for ages without being told the rights and wrongs of internet selling. Your motives may be laudible, but I think you are getting close to alienating yourself from the rest of the forum. Be careful.

I know I'm new here and haven't found my feet on this forum but if you are going to leave a review, even for a friend, it would be honest if you'd actually bought something and experienced the service and goods first.
I think if you look back at old threads you will realise just how much crafters on this forum actually buy from each other. I myself have sold considerable amounts to other crafters here and on the other hand I have bought from a considerable amount of crafters on here also so you will find that a lot of us have experienced the service and goods before commenting.

You're not a bad person. Touchy. Pushy. Opinionated..............but not bad. :)
It's usually a good idea to get to know who your forum family are before you raise controversial points. Basic etiquette really. Don't feel you have to throw your teddy bear out of the pram, just get to know us before you critcise!:)

Stoopid question .. how is not free if you have to link to them? I have got a link but you have to look to find it....?
I'm not going to get involved in the other points raised, but I can't see how it's not free?

A link is a vote..
The question is why are you voting for that site.. Is it good ?
OR
Are you linking to that site to be listed...
Each vote (link) you make in life has a value... Hence its not free.. "free" isn't about money its about value..

Me too JBJB! I just want to advertise my stuff and sell it. Not too fussed how I do that at the moment. Maybe when the £'s start rolling in I can afford to be more fussy about where I advertise!

Aha! I'm not arts and crafts.... I'm personalised items ;)
Hi, Just tried to give you a review on freeindex, but it won't let me. (It says I'm not allowed cos I'm also listed in the same category on freeindex)
Anyway - I thought it was an ace idea. I only recently joined myself and have no reviews .... I don't think I can paste the link in yet, but I'm listed as Chloe's Designs if anyone out there would kindly leave me a review too :D
