French knot sheep.

I love embroidery, but never seem to have the time to sit down and do any. But last night whilst watching the last episode of Sense and Sensibility (sp?) I started this...

Blogged here ... French Knot Sheep (http://incywincytogs.blogspot.com/2008/01/french-knot-sheep.html) ... with link to 'how to french knot' if anyone fancies a go.

Thanks everyone :p

I've not thought about the finished project Jules, I just started doing them last night. Maybe a few more white and one black.
Wanted to maybe do a series of them and get them mounted for Etsy. Then they can be brought as a set or individually??

I'd love to have the time to make a large one with lots of small sheep, but Em is being very time consuming atm, so that's not going to happen.

Why did you have an idea Jules? Open to suggestions ;)

They are very cute! Could you do a couple and then mount them on card and make a 'Missing Ewe' card? I sure you could think of others in a similar vein.

..... "Feeling Sheepish because I forgot your birthday!".....

They'd look great on a pocket on a plain canvas bag or on a plain knitted hat

Oh yes, liking those ideas swirly & jbjb. I guess I could do a french knot in wool to make them stand out more on a crochet hat ;)

Me and hub did some brainstorming last night. I'm going to do some valentines ones to start ... - i love ewe - ewe were made for me - from me to ewe ... etc
But we got a bit carried away and ended up sketching about two pages of ideas!

I've had 2 people contact me through craftster with special sheep orders :D Plus I can't believe how many post I've had on my flickr image :D

Better go out and buy some more threads.

Might be changing my website name to incywincysheep (lol)

That would fit in well with my house. Plenty of sheep roaming around there - I had about 10 sheep things for Christmas!!!

Ok, lots of 'ewe' ideas there. Ewe know ewe were saying about buttons on another thread....well, how about ewe-sing wee buttons (in the right colours) instead of french knots? Tiny shirt buttons would be ideal.....

I thought of pictures, or cards, bags, all the ewe-sual subjects....
