So I have a purely html website using paypal buttons for the "shopping experience" but having had a bit of a good run at the craft fairs I 'm now realising just what a pain it is to manage. My bruv, who half knows about these things has recommended Joomla in the past and I've had a look a t php-fusion, but does anyone else have any experience/advice in this area?:pc:

Joomla has a pretty good rep as a content management system, but I'm not sure how good it is for shopping sites.

If you are after a shop-front, then something like OSCommerce is probably better than Joomla. Joomla is good for things like providing regular updates, but I'm not sure how easy it is to turn into a shop.

Both are free, though, leveraging the LAMP idea (well the MP bit of it anyway).

I've recently built my own website using Joomla. I found it pretty easy once I understood how it all works.

Joomla is very powerful but it isn't too difficult to use. It is very well supported and there are loads of add ons to build yourself a unique site with virtually anything you want to include.
