Fed up yesterday because every wreath I have made this year I have given away and I didn't have one on my door.:nopity:

So went hunting round to see what I could come up with !

So my Christmas wreath on the door is made from

1. An old lampshade cut back so I could use the rim.
2. Old twigs sprayed silver and tied on to the circle with wire out of a skip.
3. Old Christmas decorations ( berries).
4. A packet of pot-pouri my pal makes up with pine cones, cininmin (sp) and dried sliced oranges.
5. Recycled ribbon.

The thing is the neighbour across the road came in for a coffee today and asked me to make her one.......

And the best bit is it was great fun .

Cheers Janice

Janice, try posting and adding a link (the world with the safety pin thing on it) to your flickr page that way you don't need to worry about sizing the pictures.

Cheers.

Will give it a go . If I cant do it Evie will get them done for me tommorow. Twelve year olds are so much better on comps (in this house anyway)

It does sound fab!

The easiest way to add a link to photos from flikr is to get the picture you want to copy onto the screen - just that photo. Then the address bar at the top of the screen, copy the link (it will be a long meaningless string thing) and then do a new post on this thread and just paste the link.

That's how I do mine and it should work - then everyone can go and see your pics on flikr (as long as they are marked public).

Hope this helps!!:D:D:D

Please let me know if it worked. If it doesn't I'll send them to Pauline as she's the only person I have ever managed to send a photo too.

Thanks

Janice ;)

That worked a treat Janice. And you just threw that together with spares and an old light shade!!! Brilliant Janice will need to get you to make me one but will give you a rest - you can do it for next year for me.

You wee star.

Cheers.

here is a wreath I made for my daughter in law in Va while I was there in November. She finelly sent me a pic. I showed her how to do it and now she has one in every room.
You use a wire wreath frame or make one of your own.(just make sure you have 3 rings put together. The 3 rings make it full) Cut strips of scrap fabric and just tie them on the rings.I like the ones that use every kind of fabric and color like a crazy qulit, but you can use fabric that matches your room. They really look good in a little girls room. You don't have to put the lights in, I just did that becouse she wanted to put it over her fire. You can also put your strips of Fabric in a bag and place some Cinammon oil on a cloth and put it in with them to make it smell nice.Everything the lights are on it makes the wreath smell even better.

They are absolutely gorgeous. You must have the patience of a saint to be able to tie all that fabric on - well worth it though.

Cheers.

I did it while babysitting one nite and the sweetys were in the bed lol It takes more time to cut the strips out than it did to tie them. Most of the time when I am cutting out other things I cut strips out of the scraps and just put them away till I have enough........
By the way here are my sweetys:)
