We went to Ikea yesterday and it was rubbish. I checked everything I wanted online before we left, and it was all in stock. Got there having driven 30 miles and....nothing. Cheesed off.
So, on the way back through Avonmouth, Himself said lets go to Costco. We got there and joined up (it's £23.50 for a year) and spent four hours in there wandering around. What an amazing place!
Thankfully all credit cards were left at home, and I could only spend the cash I had on me. Going back soon though, armed to the teeth!
Going to stock up for Christmas & New Year foodwise - 2kgs cooked king prawns £5.69!!! And there's loads of meat & fresh stuff too. I've got my eye on a case of the heavy red wines for my bro & SinL for Christmas, but yesterday I bought my Dad a Glenmorangie gift set which includes two very tasteful glasses.
I've never been to a cash & carry, so that was an experience.....great fun!

I know Costco is great but you spend way too much - I will need to go there and get the Christmas shop because it is my turn for the Christmas dinner this year.
Cheers.

Oh tell me about it, we were at the Newcastle one only a few days ago. I buy my large letter stamps there for sending out my orders as you actually save 4p each stamp which all adds up for profits!! We bought our new camera there a couple of months ago and always bulk buy our dishwasher tablets!! At the Newcastle one they always have loads of craft sets as well..some are junky but every now and again you can get a really good deal!
I love it there!!

I tend to shop at Makro rather than Costco but apparently Costco is much better - you can get glasses (eye) and tyres there!! Anice is right and they do have some good craft sets - my friend is a member and has bought some lovely things.

Oh yes..I forgot I bought my disposable contact lenses there just before I went on Create and Craft. I had said I was just going to wear my glasses and then at the last moment vanity took over and I needed some new contacts. They were very reasonably priced and I could have them there and then. By the way I don't work for them..looking back at my posts I sound like I am on their PR team!!! :o

There was a really fab scrapbooking set...loads of embellishments, brads, stickers, card et etc and two albums for £30. It was well worth the money...you'd pay about £100 for all the stuff in the shops. Pity I don't scrapbook though...I though about it for my mum. She would use the old-fashioned style set for all the old B&W family pics.

Nooooo that's happened to us before...except it was about a 90 mile round trip grrrr!!!
We used to go to Makro but it's a bit far for us so our Cash n Carry of choice is Bookers, doesn't sound anywhere near as fab as Costco but lots of lovely food to be had there, the catering sized cakes (16 slices) are fantastic - takes up a whole shelf of our freezer....but not for long :D
