Id just like to air my disapointment with garden peas.

I bought some the other day and only realised my mistake upon tasting them.

I have since realised I prefer petit pois which I had previously purchased.Who would have thought peas could be dissapointing?

Hmmm i am the same, prefer the petit pois rather than the ordinary garden pea.
Why is that?
What on earth is the difference any way?
I just feel posh buying them.:)

Maybe Im changing, maybe leaving here is making me more myself rather than th ebig ball of negativity I became!!

Sorry, unable to join in on the peas situation cos I don't like them so wouldn't know the difference if they sat on me.

I know what a mushy pea is though, and I probably be a mushy me if one sat on me

hehehehehe:mf:

...can't stand garden peas unless they are straight out of the pod eaten raw.

Definitely petit pois people here.

Have you tried the minted peas? eewwwwww.....

I myself am a fan of all things pea, split peas (yellow AND green) marrowfat pea (dried AND canned), petit pois (small pea?), grand pois, any pois really

Cover your eyes if you are not a fan of the mighty pea, as this next bit might make you feel sick (It makes my boyf feel ill - and he's disected people at doctor school)

I get two servings of mushy peas with my fish supper, can't help it, I am after all only there for the peas!
I eat canned mushy peas, covered in mint sauce (In fact there was a time I had mint sauce on nearly every meal, then it was chilli sauce - they don't call me the queen of condiments for nothing you know, top shelf of fridge is crammed with condiments!)

Translate on babel fish - petit pois actually means pea..... so it's just a fancy french name for a pea!

...little peas.

Mushy peas....oh gawd no. Please, no. They look pre-digested.

And I used to live in the Greater Manchester area and still managed to escape with my mushy pea virginity intact. Oh 'eck. The very thought of that glutinous green slime. blech.

No. I'm sorry but no. I am actually shuddering here.....

When I lived up in Manchester, I went to see a band play at a small club in Bolton. They actually had a "pie'n'peas" interval in the performance when everyone in the club formed a queue for pie and mushy peas. I was stunned!

So I took advantage of the distraction to keep drinking Jack Daniels at the suddenly deserted bar... :D
