And never a truer saying. I have lots of orders to do so I made up a whole load of candles last night and thought - I know I will get up early tomorrow to top them all up - that way when I come home all I need to do is take them out the moulds, finish them off and package them up - easy!!!!!
Well I start my day job at 7am so you have no idea how happy I was when the mould sealer went on the biggest candle I was making a 2lb black candle - I had black wax dripping all over the counter, down the cupboards and pooled all over the floor because once that mould sealer goes it goes and by the time you get a wad of kitchen paper to catch it it has run onto the floor - I was sooooo happy this morning to be scrapping up black wax from the floor at 6.45am!!!! Guess who was late for work then!!!
Arrggghhhhhhhh.
Cheers.

I feel for you Lisa.. stuff always happens to me like that when I don't have the time to deal with the problem!
It's almost like life goes..'ha she thinks she's come up with a canny way of multi tasking.. lets mess it up!'
Can you tell I had a bad day yesterday and today looks like being the same?!

I know how yo feel Lisa!! I had an order for a square mirror, which I made over a few evenings last week. It wasn't until the weekend that I noticed a tiny scratch in the mirror itself, so I have had to email the buyer apologetically and now have to make another! Boo Hoo!!

I've gone and piggin well done it again. Not as big a candle this time though. I am laying the blame totally on my daughter I was arguing with her about not going out as it is getting dark. Poured the candle and hadn't stuck the mould sealer on properly and the same thing happened - not happy twice in the one day must be some kind of record!!! Nice black wax this morning green this evening - just need to spill the red and I've got tartan!!!
Cheers.

Poor you. Teenagers are definatly bad for your health (sanity)
Take five minutes a few deep breaths and start again.

Why not make a tartan candle?
Or have a tartan coloured wax floor?
Turn all the wrongs into rights I say!

I agree - friggin sick of doing this in the kitchen - or a bigger house now that would be great. I am seriously thinking of converting our cellar and using it so that I can get peace and quiet and not have to keep shifting things when someone actually wants fed!!!
Hehe.

OMG you have a cellar and you haven't claimed it yet!!
It'd be the first thing I'd do.

Well I did mention it but my lovely hubby said no way I would set fire to the house - well I got the palston pot with it's thermostat so don't need to use the cooker (we even have an old cooker down there!!!) I really need the space now so will think about doing it in the New Year.
Cheers.
