Hi all you crafters out there!

Hello,
My name is Peta and i make wirework and beaded jewellery.I want to do some craft fairs but am having problems finding any!.I did a local one recently but there were people there sellingnthings they had bought in cheap (not crafted by themselves) Is this the norm at craft fairs? Could anyone out there help me locate craft fairs in Bath,Somerset or Gloucesterhire please.I would be very grateful.

Hi Peta and (welcome) to the forum.

Unfortunately, you do find a lot of fairs allow people with cheap imported goods to have stalls, which makes it very dificult for us hand made crafters, trying to compete with the 99p stall!!!

Not all fairs are like this though. The key is to do a bit of research before booking - ask them if it is a hand made only fair, or if it is a regular fair, maybe visit one before booking in yourself.

For fairs in the South West, contact Jules (Apple Tree Crafts) who is a forum member. She only allows hand made items.

I think there is also a fair coming up in Lackcock - there is a thread in the Craft Fairs section.
