Hi there everyone :):)
My name is Amy and I'm a little newbie here :)
I have always been very creative right from a little girl :)
I have since been a member of that thing we call the 'rat race' and HATED it and I have taken the plunge and decided to take some time out of work, supported by my lovely fiance, to try and hone some of my crafting skills I 'think' I possess....waffling aint i?? I do that alot!!
So - because I didn't ever quite lose that 'little girls' creativity and imagination I had 15 years ago - here I am :) and I thought chatting to others who like the same things as me would be a great start :)
SOooooo..... That's my hello done :) I hope all of you are having a wonderful day and I am looking forwards to chatting to you all xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Hi Amy
(welcome)
You're so lucky being out of the rat race and doing crafts all day!
I wish I could take that plunge but my finances won't let me at the moment. Hope to be an ex-rat racer in the near future though :D

Hello and welcome to you.
I admire anybody who is taking the plunge into 24/7 craftyness.
Your fiance sounds like a dream, does he have a brother?

Hello friendly folks :)
ahhh well I do not doubt for one second that at some point I will become bored of my current wardrobe and decide i need to return to work to fund a complete wardrobe replacement !!! BUT until then I'm going to enjoy my days painting and making things to my little hearts desire hehehe:mf:
My Fiance is wonderful (don't be sick!!) I had a tough year and he just simply said he will support me until I want or need to work again :)
I tell you what though - I've not got children yet and the weddings a way off (long engagement) I have no mortgage and no credit cards (cut them up years ago) So I figured if I'm going to take time out - now is the time to do it!!
I am not toooooo deluded however, and am quite sure that my little Amy's World life of pretty sunsets and painting pebbles will be a thing of the past when the pitter patter of tiny feet comes along and I have a house of my own to clean and tidy :)
Thanks to you all for being so friendly :)
Oh and yes - he does have a brother !!!!!!! I shall have to get my little cupids arrow out hehe ;)

Hello and (welcome)to the forum!
I left work and started my own crafty business too.. well I design backing papers for other people to be craft with anyway!! It's been a year and half now and leaving the rat race was the best thing I ever did. Though I have to admit I do actually work more hours now than I did when I worked for someone else!! But at least I can wear my slippers when I am doing it!!!

Sounds like a dream!
I wish I could just give it up for a few months whilst I get back on my feet (been ill lately), but I can't afford to. Oh well, maybe if they catch me on the forum during works hours, they might sack me! Don't know how long I will get away with making jewellery before I will be forced to look for another job though ;)
