Hiya

As Ive been unable to find any craft fair or such on 8th Dec Ive thought I might hire our local community centre and set up myself! It wont be anything fancy and the only facilites available will be table & chairs but is there anyone out there that may be interested in selling! Its short notice so I cant guarantee loads of customers but I figure it will be worth it as its only £25 to hire!!!

I have a feeling you're going to have a minefield of insurance and health & safety issues to get past first! If it was easy everybody would do their own fairs.....................I could be wrong...............;)

Never thought of that, I do have my own public liability insurance which covers me working from home or from any venue of choice so I think I would be ok, we would not be selling food or drink so no issues there!

Could be wrong, but I'd have thought the community centre would have some sort of insurance in place which would cover you. I've attended a craft fair in a community centre for the past couple of months, I can ask the lady that organises it about insurance if you like, should be more or less the same rules as it's also west Edinburgh.

Hi Karen,

The one I go to is in Balerno community centre. There is a craft fair on the second Saturday of the month run alongside the farmers market. I'll see what details I can find out for you and PM you.

Hi Carol,

Any chance you could let me have the details for the Balerno Fairs lady too. I live in West Lothian but work in Edinburgh at my day job so I hope that counts me in!

Thanks

Rose :)
