I'm furiously making things for our up and coming craft fayre at our school, and I got rather zelous when ordering cloves for doing pomaders !!!...

I now have a large bag of cloves left over, and the only thing i can think to do with them are bags for mulled wine, but can't seem to find a recipe anywhere that doesn't use 'fresh'ingredients, i.e. oranges, lemsons etc...

Does anyone know of a mix that would be dry, and I can sew into muslin bags and sell at the Fayre?

Or any other use for my clove mountain? Please don't say make more poamnders!!!!

My mother in law makes them - I'll ask her for you! Not sure if she uses fesh ingredients though!

My mother in law didn't have a recipe but she uses cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg and mixed spices and then puts that in with sugar into muslin bags. She then puts a slice (or a couple) in with the wine when making up the wine. As I say no recipe but you should be able to figure it out from some of the others you have seen.
Hope that helps

Thank you swirlyarts, I'll give it try this weekend , a dry (or should that be wet?) run.

I just knew that muslin would come in handy one day!!!:D
