Dear All
I am new here so hello to everybody! I have been trying to find a plain easy knit pattern for boys aged 8-12. I knitted one jumper pattern I bought the other day and did the largest size but it only just fitted my 8 year old. Does anybody out there have a plain knitting pattern or could point me in the right direction.
Thank you
Swinburne

The only thing I can suggest (and I'm not a knitter) is to try charity shops for vintage knitting patterns. From the ones I have seen, they tend to feature older children on the front of them - it might be worth a look. If not do ebay have any? Or try Etsy.com
Hope that helps

try charity shops
When I saw you'd replied I knew you'd suggest that even before I read your reply...does that make me psychic? :D
In all seriousness though I'd suggest the same, when we were sorting out my late m-i-l's house last year we found loads of knitting patterns like you are looking for and we took them all down to the local charity shop.
(welcome)Swinburne by the way.

I have a quite a lot of patterns if I can be of any use. The other thing you might do is take a pattern you like the shape and size of and just omit the pattern. Just use tha cast on no.'s and shaping numbers and knit plain or stocking stitch. Make sense?
