This year's pumpkin crop is particularly bad for the environment.

I hope you all feel guilty.

We are having a dressing up party at home just before bed on Halloween - I had hoped that we had escaped for another year but Anya is very interested in Halloween but doesn't yet know what it all entails - next year I will take them out trick or treating and get pumpkins (maybe!)

Hubbie brought me a pumpkin back from a friends allotment, he had grown 50 of them this year (!)
He carved it out and left the 'innards' in a bucket in the back garden.
Doggie found it.
He had a bad bad bellie......

...these are 2005's pumpkins. I seem to have lost the cd with last year's on. I'm trying to find time to do this years, hopefully will get a goos start later on today. We did the 'Pukin' Pumpkin' last year, and also the 'Cannibal pumpkin'...both got rave reviews from Tricksters!

This year, I intend to be a tad more gruesome.....Himself says I'm a very, very sick puppy......

I've had so many people ring the bell tonight...I ran out of candy at 8pm. But, best of all, the kids and the parents got a huge kick out of the pumpkins! We've even had folks stop their cars to take pics!

So, I don't care if'n I am a sick puppy!;)

What a sick mind you must have Jules....

I hate halloween... had yogurt splattered all over my car last night - and so did half the street. If I'd parked the opposite side of the road it looks like I would have been yogurt free. I've decided to disappear to the cinema or something next year!

We're very lucky here, as it's mostly little kids. There used to be a bunch of right thugs who went around doing similar things to your yoghurt throwers, but they've been sorted out after the ringleader threw battery acid over someone's car a few years back.

I love Halloween. I grew up aurrounded by americans so I must have caught the bug from them. And Halloween should be scary not cute or dumbed down.

Last night we had a constant crowd in our garden admiring the pumpkins and it was great. I hope it's spurred more people on to do good but harmless stuff next year.

Excellent work, Jules... to speak musically, you definitely have Smashing Pumpkins! :D

We had two 5ft spiders on our porch roof (made of tights stuffed with newspaper!) and I spent a whole afternoon makin a 20ft wide web of string stretching from the house to the garden fence... it caught the postman a few times! I think I used around 100m of string, it took forever. How do the spiders manage it? lol
