Anyone doing anything exciting/different on their website or for craft fairs?

Just being noisy really!!
I've just added my little robin to my blog and have some other christmas tree decs to do ready for fairs. Plus I have put my xmas tree bodysuits onto my site.

I was just wondering what others had planned for the festive season to get sales in?

I'm going to buy a small tree to go onto or next to my stall at the 4 day event - obviously it is going to be decorated with my mini chickens!! I've made some Christmas cards but I have ideas for some chicken themed cards! I will post them here when they are done!!

I decorate the table at craft fairs all Christmassy. On the site I have got a whole load of Christmas scents and do Christmas puds, Christmas trees and Snowballs for the festive season.

Cheers.

I'm not planning on doing anything on my site..to tell you the truth my Christmas CD started selling again in May if you can believe it! By the time Christmas time comes all the card makers have done their cards (except me of course!!) so sales trail off then!
Good luck with your Christmas sales.

I've made a limited edition of my Cinnamon and Orange soap for my christmas shows. I've made it look like a Christmas cake, it looks good enough to eat!

I'm busy making my horseshoes with holly wreaths. Have a big show in Livingston in November and 3 other smaller ones Nov/Dec. I have done every year and they always seem to sell so here's hoping.

Cheers Janice:)

The Cinnamon & Orange soap is on my site, but the cake style one isn't. It was just a trial and I haven't made enough of it to put it on, sorry.

Swirly - I've got a little tiddy tree that you can borrow if you want? But the branches are quite close together so I don't know if it will have the desired effect - I can only get tiny baubles on it....:confused:

This is actually the first year I've made Christmas Cards! Never really had the courage to do it before, but sold quite a few already and have a few on order too!

Also started doing 'posh' gift tags for Christmas - sold 5 this morning at work! :mf:

But thats about it really. Hoping at some point to try fimo as got some good ideas for things, but its always a matter of having enough time.... need to give up the day job!!;)

pound shops often have trees about a meter high which are great for stalls and great price too!

I have an open house every year in mid to late november. (still got to decide the date!)

I put on refreshments, mince pies, stollen, fresh coffee..... have a donation box for local charities (normally something conected with special needs)

I set up the whole of my downstairs with tables, pasting tables etc and decorate it all pretty. I usually offer a corner to another crafter (not doing anything the same as me!) and then set out my jewellery, bags, cards etc. Over the years I have got braver and now publise the event on my market stall, in local shops, in the local paper, and I hand out flyers to everyone I see..... that's a lot of advertising for a house!

Last year I had about 200 people through the house and most of them purchase something.

Every year it gets bigger and people begin to expect it and have been asking me for a couple of months now when I am going to do it..... really must get those dates sorted.

Am desperately trying to get on my making my christmas range in between getting orders done, peeople have been enquiring about them for the last couple of months, made a headstart this week so hopefully will get them listed soon. I love making them, really gets me feeling all Christmassy and I love Christmas!:mf:
