Smellies for boys [Archive]

My sister wants me to make some smellies for her to give as stocking fillers at Christmas. Well, I'm fine with the girls but she needs 5 lots of smellies for boys aged between 11 and 18 - my snowman soaps seem a bit 'twee' for boys - does anyone have any ideas???

i had the same problem with my brother! I went for a selection of minty kind of soaps, a sea breeze, as it's xmas how about gingerbread? xx

Minty soaps seem like a good idea, perhaps I could do some minty bath bombs too.

How about cinnamon - thats a bit more manly. Mint is good too though!

Cinnamon sounds nice, only trouble is it's not covered by my safety assessment but I suppose, technically, I don't have to sell them to my sister, she could just happen to give me some tasty treats out of her shop!!

Hiya...

FO wise - are you covered for an Oceanic type scent or one of the masculine designer types?

If you're covered for EOs - Sandalwood, Cedarwood, Lavender, Bergamot, Mint, Rosemary... Or even a blend of Lavender & Sandalwood...

I normally use 1% in a wash off product and that should be fine for over twelves... Or swap an EO for a matching FO ie, Sandalwood FO instead of the EO if you are covered for those fragrances...

My boys - 10 and 12 have a real liking for something like Ocean or Sea Breeze or fruit scents such as Orange... Quite a lot of my male customers are also suckers for Lavender... ;-)

Thanks for that, I'm covered for all those fragrances, I shall have a 'play' today with the different blends that you've suggested. I never thought of lavender & sanalwood but now I come to think of it, you're right about a lot of men liking lavender. Brilliant suggestions, thank you Jx:)
