Hi

I bought a couple of plastic flower looms (I think thats what they are called) from a car boot sale - couldn't resist it for 10p each!

I know one is for french knitting (similar to what we used to do at school with a cotton reel and nails - wouldn't be allowed now I suppose with current 'elf & safety' rules) and the other is for making a flower.

BUT how do you make the flower?

It is round with two rows of 'pins' - one row around the outside and smaller row in the middle.

Does any know how to make them or can you give me a link to instructions.

Many thanks

I used to have the two row one when I was a child. you tie a slip knot and put it onto one of the pins on the outside.
wrap the wool from that pin and around the opposite outside pin then back accross the loom to the next pin along. round that pin and back accross to the next pin on the opposite side. work around the whole of the outer pins. now start the same pattern on the inner pins. once you have both circuits wrapped, take a darning needle/ tapestry needle and thread it onto the wool. sew in and out around the "petals". I think if I remember rightly you do this a couple of times. once finished sewing secure the thread and remove your flower from the loom.
if this works you should have a beautiful flower. however if it doesn't ..... well it was a long time ago!

Thanks for instructions beads..
I'll try to follow them carefully, hopefully it will turn out with some practice.
