I have been thinking for a while now about changing my website name.

When I first started out doing small animals etc and painting rocks, I went under the name 'TerBryJoa Art's', but then when the wedding cake toppers just took over and I got my website, I changed it to 'Wedding Treasures'.

Wedding cake toppers are a vast part of what I do thats true! But I also do cake toppers for all different ocassions, as well as animals!

Plus since I've started building up my christmas stock and making door plaques, its time for me to bring out all my other ideas I've had for ages now but never got round to doing.

Okay, so my problem is that the name 'wedding treasures' relates to just weddings - here lies where I don't where to turn. I do want to change my name, but at the same time I still want it to kind of relate to weddings - arrrrrrrrr, don't think that's going to work.

Anyway, long and short is that I would love some suggestions from those of you that know what I do and seen my website!

My first thought is to go back to the TerBryJoa Arts name and take it from there!

Opions and help is appreciated......thanks :D

Pauline :)

I'm not very good at things like this but if your main business is cake toppers then i would try and keep a hold of that in your name. What about something like: (all) occasions cake toppers/ fancy cake toppers/ topping the cake/ finishing touch cake toppers, thats all i can think of (not great i know) but i'll add more if i think of any.

Hi, here's my suggestion, "All Types of Treasures" or "Treasure Allsorts" or "Treasure Trove" or something along that line, with a tagline of "And not just for Weddings"

I think your original website name terbryjoa.webdeban I think it is, is really hard for people to remember and spell! Which could be a problem. Where does the name come from by the way?

Something that incorporates your name? I like wedding treasures though but like you say you want to expand. My site is my surname and designs, easy peezy :D

Oh wow, thanks for the suggestions - great to know that you have all got your thinking caps on - thanks!!

I have had the name 'TerBryJoa Art's' now for quite a while.......I always said that when I retired I would call my house that as it was so unusual.

TerBryJoa is from the first 3 initials of my 3 kids! Love it!! and I think because I have been saying it for years, it just trips of my tongue now!

I'm off to bed now and will probably go to sleep thinking of what name to use.

Keep on thinking....and thanks, I really do appreciate it!

Hmmmmm, while lying in bed last night, I kept rolling the name 'treasured toppers' round my head.............still not 100% sure but its a start!

What do you think?

Another couple are:

Toppers2Treasures
Toppers of Clay - naaa now that I've written this down, its a no go!

I like Toppers-2-Treasure too.

I added the hyphens so it is a wee bitie easier to read. (I did this with my Candles by Lisa web site too - I was told to hyphenate the site name if it was more than one word to make it easier if you are advertising your website, people can read it easier if it is hyphenated i.e. candles-by-lisa.co.uk is easier to read and remember than candlesbylisa.co.uk.).

Cheers.

With being a paper crafter the first thing that comes to mind is card toppers, i never knew cake decorations were called toppers (i know i'm stupid), but will everyone else know what they are if 'cake' isn't in the title and when people are googling looking for cake toppers, would it help your ranking if you had both words in your title?
Cake-toppers-2-treasure
Ignore me if i'm going off on one..........lol

I like the word treasured as it there is enough of the old name that existing or previous customers will know who you are even with a different name. Is it only toppers that you provide? If you offer other items then you may be too restricitive with treasured-toppers if you want to go into other areas at a later date. So, how about callng yourself treasured tokens, treasured designs. (with or without a hyphen)
