This is my latest topper finished last night. The bride is wearing a very plain dress, but I think she looks very classy! I've also started using ribbon to make the kilts with, find it easier than the paper I've been using.

I'm not much good at taking pictures, must either go on a course or get somebody else to take them! :mf:

That's excellent. Let me take a stab in the dark - is it a Scottish wedding?

Really beautiful.

Cheers.

Thanks - for some reason I've had a real rush on kilts this summer! arrrrrr.

Thats one of the reasons I've taken to using ribbon. If you've not done it before, give it a try - its alot easier. Cook the shape of your kilt first and then add the ribbon. I did when I first started painted them, but that was messing and took up too much time. I have a hobbycraft near me and they have an assortment of tartan ribbon thankfully.......but for the one's I can't find, I use paper then and once its given a couple of coats of the protective sealer, it really strenghtens it.

I love them! What are they made from? I always used to make decorations from marzipan, but now I end up having to have a seperate block just to eat while I'm doing it!

They are made from fimo and baked in the oven.

I would love to try and have a go at marzipan figurines, but want to wait till I've moved house and get a better kitchen before doing that.

Love them. You need to get them North of The Border.

What does he wear under his kilt ?

Cheers Janice.
