Some more Christmas Ornaments/Decorations

I've been working on these christmas tree ornaments and so far I've done a 1 and a 2 (for baby's first and second christmas), plus one sat on a gift.

I am now trying to work out a price for a christmas fair - can anybody help in this one please! I really am rubbish at working out what to charge?

The second picture is my christmas cats and the third is a wine and white coloured christmas ornament (not tree).

(edit, ignore the red cord on the 1st figurine - I only used that to see if it hung up okay........have to get some nice hanging thread)!

They are all really excellent, pricing is a nightmare I find it hard enough with my candles. Obviously you would want to charge a price that is going to make it worth your while making them in the first place but I think they will sell really well they are gorgeous.

They are brilliant. Can't help with pricing as i don't know how long it takes you to make them or how much materials cost.

Some people price there stuff by working out the cost of materials and x 300/500% to get a rough idea of a selling price. Doesn't work for all types of products but might help. I'll do a sample calculation incase you don't understand what i mean.

Material cost £1 x 500% = £5. If that seemed to high then use 300/400% that way you'll have a basis to price your goodies

wow you make things so fast! They are really good. Not sure about pricing, im rubbish at that, maybe £5 for the cats and £7 for the babies. I normally attempt to calculate how much it cost me to make them, then just add a bit more on.

I can work out the material costs no problem, but then its the cooking time (25 minutes in oven), plus protective sealer and of course my time - which I heard that a crafter can't really put onto prices!

Then bundled together is the cost to do the christmas fair for your table and of course the petrol to get there - its never ending really is it!!

Wish I was a realy hard case business person.....but I'm not ......waaaaaaaaaaaaa.

...Those cats are superb!

Have you considered making flat plaques or hanging 3D decorations for trees? I'm sure 'Baby's 1st' decs would sell well.

Ok...ignore me. I've just read the other thread about Eleanor's door-plaque....I'm so slow this morning.

Hi Jules..........I do have some flat bears and was wondering whether to use them as card toppers or turn them into magnets.

I am also trying to make smaller cats and dogs to hang on the tree as the size I have now would make the branches bend.

Everything is trial and error at the moment and I am really happy to take any advice -thanks for that!
