Hi
I am new to the crafts website and would like some help in finding xmas craft and gift fairs. I have been told that village xmas fairs and school xmas fairs are a good place to start. Could anyone give me an idea on how to locate these and any contact info. By the way I live in the Leicestershire area.
Thanks Lin

Try your local papers - I stumbled across one in my area last week (the word craft lept out at me!) or what about Garden Centres or local schools (usually have websites with forthcoming events) or doing a search in google? There are a few organisations which cover an area - or, I don't know if its close to you (geography at school was not my best subject and I have a bad sense of direction!) have you tried contacting Apple Tree Crafts? Jules has a little posh box on the side advertising Taunton (although its already past) - she may be able to help

Or do a search on this forum for Leicestershire and see what it turns up - just watch the dates on threads and posts tho!

Good luck!:D

DebsB organises crafts fairs and may be able to give you some advice. I'm sure there are countless others as well!

hi there
well i was in the same boat as most of us are when we start out. i searched on google for craft fairs and found a couple of sites and got in touch with the organisers, booked a place, when we did our first stall we handed out fliers and business cards, other organisers approached us and asked us if we wanted to do other fairs so word of mouth really. also my husband sat down the other day for a couple of hours and composed a letter that we can send out to schools, church groups and community centres explaining who we are and what we do so just waiting for replys at the moment, but as i say word will get around.
dont forget to stock up on business cards with phone or email details, they will call believe me.
also try putting a flyer in post offices or papershops wont cost you much
good luck if you want a list of website just pm me and i will send you the links:D
