those lovely curly top wicks?

i've seen some lovely candles that have them and would love to use them on some of my candles

I'm not sure if you buy the wicks like that - I think you just wrap the wick round the top of a pencil when you have made the candle.

Yes - Lisa's right...

Ensure you buy the wicks a few inches longer than you actually need and if you're going to tie a homespun/ribbon etc on do it first and slip it down close to the wax...

Then get the end of the pencil and roll the excess wick around it... Slip the pencil out and away to go...

Make sure you put "remove decoration and trim wick" on your safety labels though - I do and still had a customer who missed it and wondered why it all went up in flames... Go figure...

thanks ladies

i have had a try and cant believe how easy it is to do
the only thing i have to master is getting the wick to look the correct length on the candle , i have done a few where the wick looks to long

practice make perfect i suppose:p

Keep a pair of nail clippers to hand...

Easy to snip off any excess 'curl' without having to unroll it all again...:)
